MEET THE TEAM

MICHELLE THACKRAY & KIRSTEN SULLIVAN

Kirsten holds a Master’s degree in Autism & Education from the University of Cape Town, as well as a solid background in Psychology, Social Development, and Counselling. She is deeply passionate about creating spaces where children feel safe, truly seen, and understood for who they are, while building skills and reaching their full potential.

Kirsten believes that meaningful growth begins with connection – and that trust, co-regulation, and child-led engagement form the heart of all progress. Her integrative approach draws on a rich toolkit of evidence-based methods, including DIR Floortime®, ESDM, Gestalt Play Therapy, HANDLE, and person-centered counselling.

With a special focus on emotional regulation, executive functioning, and communication, Kirsten works to nurture not only a child’s developmental skills but also their self-esteem and sense of belonging.

She is equally dedicated to supporting parents and caregivers, empowering them with practical tools, strategies, and emotional insight so they can feel confident and connected in their roles. Kirsten’s work is guided by the belief that every child deserves to feel safe and capable, and that families deserve to feel supported every step of the way.
